Known far and wide as the Sprint Car Capital of the World, Knoxville is home to the legendary half mile dirt track at the Knoxville Raceway. Famous residents include Dixie Cornell Gebhardt, designer of the Iowa flag and William M. Stone, governor of Iowa. Downtown you will find some great mix of local restaurants and pubs, in addition to the Grand Theater and Marion County Courthouse.
